Cheers to Trude and Jimmy!

When my dear friends, Trude and Jimmy, shared that they would be tying the knot in April 2008, and wanted to enlist me for my floral design and wedding planning services, I was thrilled to be part of their wedding.

Having grown up in the U.S., the couple chose a Western theme. But, to celebrate their Asian heritage, they wanted to incorporate Asian influences. With that in mind, I suggested floral arrangements in deep burgundy and chartreuse accents. Stuart Rental provided the linens, completing the rich colors of the floral designs.

The Catholic ceremony took place at St. Brother Albert Church in San Jose, followed by an intimate reception for 150 guests at Ming's Restaurant in Palo Alto. I was blessed to work with some of the most talented vendors. Jonathan Nguyen, a much sought-after makeup artist in San Francisco, brought out Trude's natural features.

Perspecta Photography did an amazing job in capturing the wedding day, and defined the moments with their photojournalistic style. The Passion Band provided great music and entertainment.

Congratulations Trude and Jimmy!
